Calabar, the capital of Cross River State, is very popular for its annual 31 days of cultural extravaganza particularly, the very colourful carnival street parade. Beyond these, December fiesta are other sites in the ancient town that are must-sees for all visitors to the one time slave route. Nigeria is gradually making its way into the tourism calendar of the world. With a few of its annual festivals like the Argungu Fishing Festival, Abuja Carnival and a few others being major attractions of tourists from all over.
