Yale University, through its MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies, is organizing a series of important conferences on Africa-China relations (“Africa-China Relations: Balance, Growth and a Sustainable Future”) in collaboration with leading business schools in China and on the African continent. Attached is the full information document.
The conferences aim to integrate African, Chinese and global perspectives on Africa-China relations, by bringing together thought leaders in academia, government, business and society. The inaugural conference took place at Lagos Business School, in Aja, Lagos, Nigeria, on March 16-17, 2016. It was chaired by Prof. Ibrahim Gambari (former Nigerian Minister of External Affairs and UN Under-Secretary General) and Prof. Li Anshan (widely acknowledged as a pre-eminent Chinese academic specialist on Africa, and Director of the Center for African Studies at Peking University).
His Excellency Ambassador Zhong Jianhua, China’s special representative on African Affairs, also participated in the conference.
emc3 Nigeria was appointed destination managers by Yale University, through its MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies to facilitate this Africa-China Relations Conference.
